Le Marche is an eastern Italian region, sits between the Apennine Mountains and the Adriatic Sea. Le Marche is known for its beautiful coastline and splendid sea,  making it one of the most charming sea destinations on the Italian coast The interior has countryside dotted with fortified hilltop settlements and its National and Regional nature reserves, including the oases of the WWF reserves, the Monti Sibillini and Monti della Laga National Parks, and the Fracassi Caves, which  are peerless in their scenery, natural and trekking offerings. Le Marche is also famous for its fresh fish dishes, like the brodetto, its mixed fried dish (called fritto misto all’ ascolana), and superb wines like the Falerio dei Colli Ascolani, the red Rosso Piceno and Rosso Piceno Superiore.
