Lombardy is a region in Northern Italy. This region ranges from the Alps to the countryside, from art cities to small hamlets rich in history, and multiple famous Lakes, with upscale alpine resorts with amazing sceneries.
Lombardy is also rich in art, architecture and history. There are hundreds of museums and more than one million cultural heritages: including the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci, the medieval Torrazzo in Cremona, La Scala Theatre.
There are also multiple Unesco’s world heritage sites: Bergamo’s Venetian Walls, Mantova and Sabbioneta, the Rock Engraving Park in the Camonica Valley, the historic settlement of Crespi d'Adda, the Sacred Mountain of Beata Vergine del Soccorso and the Sacred Mountain of Varese, and the Rhaetian Railway, connecting Tirano, in Valtellina, to Sankt Moritz, in Switzerland.
Lombardy is also famous for its cuisine and products, including multiple different types of cheese like Grana Padano, and superb wines like the Franciacorta and Lambrusco.
